What is the shelf life of Tate’s products? All of Tate’s crafted baked goods are made with the finest natural ingredients and do not contain any additives or preservatives. The shelf life for our cookies in the 7 oz green as well as our 7 oz white bag is six months, and 3 months for cookies in the 8 oz cellophane bag. The shelf life is 5 days for our brownies and squares, pies, tea loaves, and sour cream coffee cake.
How do I store Tate’s products? If you are not able to enjoy your delectable Tate’s treats right away, they can be stored and frozen to be enjoyed later.
Cookies: Store unopened packages in the refrigerator. Once opened, cookies should be stored in sealed plastic bags or air tight containers to maintain their crispness. Cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months. To freeze, place the cookies in a freezer bag. Thaw for one hour before serving – or eat them frozen, our cookies make fabulous ice cream sandwiches!
Bars and Squares: Refrigerate upon receipt for up to 5 days or freeze as is for up to 3 months. Thaw one hour before serving.
Pies: Refrigerate upon receipt for up to 5 days. Before serving, bring pie to room temperature or heat at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. To freeze for up to 3 months, wrap tightly in clear film or aluminum foil. Thaw frozen pie for 2 hours before serving.
Tea Loaves: Refrigerate upon receipt for up to 5 days. May be frozen as is; thaw frozen loaf for 1 hour before serving.
Sour Cream Coffee Cake: Refrigerate upon receipt for up to 5 days. Before serving, bring coffee cake to room temperature or heat in the paper liner at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. To freeze for up to one month, wrap tightly in clear film. Thaw for 2 hours before serving.

Do Tate’s products contain nuts? Yes, some of our products do contain nuts; when nuts are an ingredient it is indicated in the product description as well as in the ingredient statement. People with severe nut allergies should be aware that tree nuts are present in our production facility. Our products do not contain peanuts and we do not process peanuts in our facility.
How are Tate’s gluten free products made? Tate’s produces its exceptional gluten free baked goods in a dedicated gluten free facility. Our gluten free cookies are made using rice flour and our gluten free brownies and blondies are made with almond flour. Additionally, products are tested both internally and by an outside accredited laboratory. The gluten free products we offer must test at 5ppm (gluten) or lower. We are recognized by the Celiac Support Association.
Do your Tate’s products contain ingredients that have been genetically modified using biotechnology? We do not use ingredients produced using biotechnology. Further, our products have been tested by certified, outside laboratories and no GMOs have been identified.
Are Tate’s products certified Kosher? No, they are not at this time.
When will my gift ship after I place my order? Orders received by 12:00 pm Eastern Standard Time will be shipped the same business day. All other orders will be shipped the next business day (Monday through Friday) after the order is received. We do not process or ship orders on Saturday or Sunday.
How will my order be shipped and what are my shipping options? All orders are shipped via UPS, Standard Ground, from our facility on Long Island, NY. You may select or request expedited shipping – 3Day Select, 2nd Day Air, or Overnight Delivery when placing your order online or by calling Customer Service at 631-780-6511. Saturday deliveries will be charged overnight shipping rates and a $25.00 surcharge. Please note that UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes, you must enter a valid street address when placing your order.
Can I ship gifts to addresses outside the continental U.S. or to an APO/FPO destination? Yes, to ship to Hawaii and Alaska you may enter your order through the online store. Deliveries to those states will be charged the applicable shipping rate and a $45.00 surcharge. Please contact Customer Service at 631-780-6511 to ship to APO/FPO addresses and other locations outside the continental US.
Can I select Saturday delivery? Yes, for Saturday delivery please contact Customer Service at 631-780-6511. Please note that UPS does not offer Saturday delivery in all areas of the country.

How do I sign into my account when I forgot my user name and password? We are happy to help you with that. Remember that you user name is your email address; you may retrieve your password by Reset Password
Are your products available in retail stores? Yes, our cookies are carried by many retail stores across the country. For a list of stores in your area click on the Store Locator at the bottom of the page.
Do you ship products from your retail store? We do not, but we invite you to visit our store when you are in the area. The bake shop is located at 43 North Sea Road in Southampton, NY. For hours of operation or for questions on custom cakes or other products, you may call the bake shop directly at 631-283-9830.
Can I customize my order or substitute items? Yes, you can customize 3 and 6 pack cookie orders, call the Bake Shop Team at 631-257-5830 to place your order. Unfortunately, given the volume of orders we process we are unable to accommodate substitutions or customize basket orders.
Will you include a gift message with my order? Yes, we will include a personalized gift message when requested. You will have the opportunity to write a gift message during the checkout process.
How do I find out about special promotions and coupons? To receive electronic coupons and to be notified of special offers, simply enter your email address when you log onto the web store. Note that offers and discounts apply to online sales only and may not be redeemed in our retail store unless otherwise noted.
What if I am not satisfied with my purchase? At Tate’s we believe in 100% customer satisfaction and will work with you to ensure that you are happy with your purchase. Can I use more than one promotion code on an order? We provide many different incentives for our valued customers throughout the year and at times we may have more than one available to use. We do not allow customers to use more than one per purchase so it will be up to you to decide which one is "sweeter".
